Sea kayaking day tour below the mountains of Isafjordur in Iceland's West Fjords

Guaranteed departures: daily at 09:00, June to August (depending on weather). Departs from North Explorers Headquarters in Isafjordur (located downtown in an old house called Hæstikaupstadur). Pick up from the local airport in connection with the morning flight is available free of charge.

The largest settlement in the beautiful and remote West Fjords, Isafjordur has earned a reputation as one of the best places to sea kayak in Iceland. Paddling in the fjords and bays under the magnificent mountains that tower over this charming town is an unforgettable experience and gets you as close to nature as is possible.
The perfect trip for beginners to sea kayaking. No knowledge of the sport is required and before setting off you are given a short lesson in paddling. Then the boats are put out behind the Maritime Museum and you paddle off in a circle inside the fjord. During the trip, keep watch for various bird species and seals.
